Owner Aldo Zaninotto (Osteria Langhe) first became inspired on a trip to Rome several years ago. An avid history-buff, he walked the streets of Testaccio to try as much food and visit as many historical spots as possible. This is when he discovered the blend of cultures, something uncommon in historic Rome, expressed through both food and art. After returning to Chicago, fascinated by this hidden treasure of a neighborhood, Aldo continued to learn more about Testaccio. Over a series of subsequent trips, he began to notice many similarities to Logan Square - also a multicultural neighborhood and integral part of our Chicago’s history.
